Plot Summary of Mastram
The story is about Rajaram, an aspiring writer living in the 1980s. He attempts to write serious literature but publishers do not accept it. Feeling lost, he discovers that readers enjoy bold and exciting stories more than slow fiction. Rajaram then begins writing erotic short stories based on his thoughts, memories and faces that he meets during his everyday life.
His stories become quickly popular, and he writes them under the pen name “Mastram.” While his career as a writer is on the rise, his personal life becomes complicated. Rajaram falls in love with Madhu and plans to marry her. At the same time, he has a hard time hiding his secret identity. The series demonstrates how he balances between love, ambition and truth, as his disguised success percolates slowly to light.
