Super Dancer is a popular Indian Hindi language Kids Dance Reality TV Show on Sony Entertainment Television TV. The show is aimed at finding the most talented young dancers from all over the country. Children perform various types of dances and compete for the title of “Dance Ka Kal” which means the future of dance.
The show has been extremely popular due to its talented contestants, emotional stories, entertaining acts, and expert judges. Super Dancer has now been one of India’s most loved dance shows for children over five successful seasons.
Show Format & Background
Super Dancer began airing in 2016. The production of the show is led by Ranjeet Thakur and Hemant Ruprell, Frames Production. After nationwide auditions, the judges choose the best contestants who perform every week. Each kid partners up with a professional choreographer referred to as a “Super Guru.” The audience votes their favorite contestants through SonyLiv or the official website and eliminations take place on the basis of votes.
It has famous judges such as Geeta Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and Anurag Basu on its side as well as some of the famous TV hosts.

Super Dancer Season 1 Winner – Ditya Bhande
Season 1 began on 10 September 2016, and finished on 17 December 2016. The show aired 29 episodes. Paritosh Tripathi and Rithvik Dhanjani while hosting the season. Shilpa Shetty, Geeta Kapoor and Anurag Basu were the judges of the show. Twelve contestants participated in the competition of which Ditya Bhande, Mumbai won the title. She was seen performing with her super guru Ruel Dausan Varindani. The show granted her the award of a cash prize and a trophy, the Super Dancer Season 1.
Super Dancer Season 2 Winner – Bishal Sharma
Season 2 debuted on 30 September 2017 and concluded on 24 March 2018. The season was hosted by Jay Bhanushali & Paritosh Tripathi. As the judges, Shilpa Shetty, Geeta Kapoor and Anurag Basu were back. There were fourteen contestants competing. Bishal Sharma from Assam won the season along with his guru Vaibhav Ghuge. He was awarded the trophy of the winner and a reward in prize money for his excellent journey.
Super Dancer Season 3 Winner – Rupsa Batabyal
The third season started on 29 December 2018 and ended on 23 June 2019. The show was hosted by Paritosh Tripathi and Rithvik Dhanjani. The same group of three judges continued. Sixteen contestants contested for the title. Rupsa Batabyal from Kolkata won the season with the mentor Nishant Bhat. She won the trophy of Season 3 and the trophy of the winner for her magical performances.
Super Dancer Season 4 Winner – Florina Gogoi
Season 4 began on 30 January 2021 and finished on 8 October 2021. Paritosh Tripathi and Rithvik Dhanjani while hosting the season. Shilpa Shetty, Geeta Kapoor and Anurag Basu were the judges of the show. Thirteen contestants responded to the contest. Florina Gogoi of Assam won the title along with guru Tushar Shetty. She won a trophy and prize money for Super Dancer Season 4 for her win.
Super Dancer Season 5 Winners – Sukriti Paul & Adhyashree Upadhyay
Season 5 aired from 19 July 2025 to 12 October 2025. The season was hosted by Paritosh Tripathi. The judging panel consisted of Geeta Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty and Marzi Pestonji. Thirteen contestants entered the competition. For the first time the first and second place went to two people from the same state together: Sukriti Paul from Siliguri and Adhyashree Upadhyay from Guwahati. They won the trophy and prize recognition for Season 5 and their mentors Anuradha Iyenger and Pratiksha Sutar.
